Let's get started
Choose your yarn and hook. If it's a 4 ply wool, a size 3.5 hook should be fine.
If it's a cotton twine, a size 2.5 or 3 should be fine.
(For right handed people)
Step 1 - Form a loop (ref to illustration 1)
Similar to tying a shoe lace.
Step -2 Form a loop with the ball side of yarn.

will make loop bigger.
This free movement ensures that your crochet loop is perfect.
Hold the other ends with your left fingers.
The right hand works the hook, the left index controls the flow & tension of yarn & thumb and middle finger hold the tail end to provide stability.
Step-9. Using the hook, grab the
yarn from below
Step-10 Pull hook and yarn through the loop
Step - 11 You have made your 1st chain, just below the hook.
Step - 12 Rpt steps 9 to 11 to make more chains.
